Design and consulting
Paid design work for architects, engineers and owners, specifying the systems long before anyone tenders them. Sometimes it is a billable engagement and sometimes it is not, and we will tell you which one this is before we start.
For architects and engineers
System design and drawings
The conduit is in the wall before it is needed, because device layouts, riser diagrams and pathway requirements are in the drawing set rather than raised at commissioning.
Specification writing
The tender does not leave the integration unowned, because the Division 27 and 28 sections are written to the standard you already use.
Basis of design reports
The owner can defend the choice a year later, because why this system, this topology and this product class is written down at the time.
Budget and class estimates
The number in the capital plan survives the tender, because estimates are reissued at each design stage rather than set once and hoped for.
Coverage and propagation studies
You know where the radio will fail before the building goes up, from propagation modelling, in-building prediction and wireless survey.
Code and standards review
The inspection passes the first time, because accessibility, life safety interfaces, privacy and retention obligations were checked against the design rather than against the finished building.
Tender support
Bids can actually be compared, because addenda answers and bid levelling are done against the specification rather than against the lowest number.
Construction administration
Deficiencies close before handover, through shop drawing review, site visits, deficiency lists and commissioning sign-off.
For owners and operators
Security and risk assessments
You find out what is exposed before somebody else does, from a site walk-through and a threat and vulnerability review with findings in priority order.
Technology roadmaps
Replacement is budgeted rather than discovered, from a multi-year capital plan across every system on the site.
Standards development
Every site and every contractor builds the same way, because there is one written standard rather than a precedent somebody remembers.
Owner’s representative
Somebody reads the submittals on your side of the table, through procurement and through installation by others.
- Physical securitySee what happened and prove it, because video, access and alarms land on one timeline you can search by door and by time.
- Network and managed ITOne compromised device stays one compromised device, because operational traffic is separated from office traffic by written policy.
- Radio and communicationsA lone worker can call for help from the far end of the site, because coverage was modelled at design and then measured on foot.
- Audio visual and pagingThe meeting starts on time, because the room is a standard kit repeated across sites and it is checked before you walk in.
